Alexis Carter, founder of Looks By Lex is a former collegiate athlete who upon graduation, immediately began to further seek out her interest in fashion. Growing up as an athlete, many of the outfits she wore consisted of travel sweatpants and jersey’s. Whether her nails were painted to match her jersey, or her headband color changed by game, she always tried to find a way to style her look on the court. The confidence in her style evolved and matured in her off season when she had the liberty to express herself through fashion. Her style had a noticeable change. She began gaining compliments and getting noticed for her trendy looks.
Lex thoroughly enjoyed helping others find their confidence through the fashion lens. Then it dawned on her, why not uplift others all while doing something that makes you happy as well? In 2020, Looks By Lex was founded on the values of transcending the inner confidence of people through articles of clothing forming one's personalized style.
